At SMI Facility Services, we make every effort to guarantee that we hire the best employees possible. In order to become an SMI Facility Services employee, an applicant must at minimum achieve the following:
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must have a consistent work record, and all work references must check out.
- At least three personal references must be verified.
- Must meet all training requirements.
- Must pass a 60-day probationary period.
By adhering to these guidelines, we are successful in our ability to retain our people, which results in a lower turnover rate.

Handyman Services

As a customer of SMI Facility Services, you have access to our Handyman Services Department. We offer a wide variety of services that can be utilized at a moment’s notice. We also have staff on-call 24 hours a day for those unexpected emergencies. We handle:
- Minor plumbing issues such as plugged toilets, leaky faucets etc.
- Hanging picture frames,
cabinets and more. - Replacing burnt out lighting.
- Cleaning accidental spills.
- Exterior landscape policing.
- Event set-up and take-down.
- Event staffing.
- Graffiti removal.
- Power washing.
- Patch & paint.
